without beginning or end

This is a work created for a site-specific, located in the Menin Douro Estates Winery in the north of Portugal.

It is an allegory to the route and to contemplation, two inseparable ways of being in a place like the Douro.

The movement along the trails, not only of the roads but especially the design of the vineyard traditional terraces have an existential, laborious and labyrinthine character.

The time factor is intrinsic with absolute contemplation and gives rise to various relationships with what is perceived.

This work is currently being built in corten steel with approximate dimensions of 1350 x 200 x 200cm.

The place chosen works an overture to movement and to time, “without beginning or end”.
